IIFT 2021

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) Exam is a national level MBA Entrance Exam which is administered annually for admission into their MBA (IB) program. The IIFT exam will be conducted in 2021 however, it's popularly known as IIFT 2021 instead of IIFT 2020. The reason for the same is that the IIFT exam is conducted for admission in the upcoming batch i.e. MBA (IB) 2021-2023. IIFT has three running campuses IIFT Delhi, IIFT Kolkata, and IIFT Kakinada.

A brief overview of IIFT 2021

  • IIFT Exam 2021 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for the second time after IIFT 2020.
  • IIFT 2021 exam date is expected to be 5 December 2020.
  • IIFT Exam is going to be conducted online for the second time.
  • IIFT 2021 paper pattern consists of 4 sections viz. General Awareness, Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation and Quantitative Aptitude
  • In the IIFT Exam, there is an individual sectional cut off for all 4 sections in addition to an overall cut-off.
  • In order to gain a shortlist a candidate needs to clear the individual sectional cut-off as well as the overall cut-off.
  • The total test duration of the IIFT 2021 exam is 120 minutes.
  • The number of questions in the IIFT exam paper is expected to be 110 questions.
  • Each question carries a negative marking of 1/3rd of the allotted marks for every incorrect attempt.
  • All questions in the paper are MCQ type questions.

IIFT Exam 2021 Application

The IIFT Exam 2021 officially kicks off with the IIFT Exam 2021 Notification. The IIFT Exam 2021 Notification was released on 21st August 2019 and included details on the IIFT Exam 2021 Important Dates. The next step is the IIFT Exam 2021 Application/ Registration which can be done online from 9th September 2019 onwards. There is no provision for offline application in IIFT Exam 2021. The online application process is quite straightforward:

  • Create a profile on the official website and fill in the requisite personal details
  • At this point, you will receive the login information (username and password)
  • Complete the Registration Process by paying the Application Fee (expected to be Rs 1650)

IIFT 2021 (2021-2023) Paper Pattern

The IIFT 2021 Exam is expected to be along the same lines as the IIFT 2020 Exam. The IIFT 2021 Exam will have 4 sections with the number of questions expected to be 110. The marking scheme for the IIFT Exam depends on the section of the IIFT 2020 Exam. It can range between 3 marks to 1.5 mark per correct attempt. If the candidate attempts the question incorrectly, the penalty for the same is 1/3rd of the marks allotted and there is no penalty for leaving a question un-attempted.

 

IIFT 2021 Syllabus

IIFT 2021 Syllabus like CAT is not defined. However, after analyzing the IIFT previous year papers and questions, we have combined a list of topics per section that you need to cover. The number of sections in IIFT changed from 6 to 4 in IIFT 2020 (2020 - 2022). The paper consists of 4 sections - General awareness, Verbal Ability& Reading Comprehension, Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation and Quantitative Aptitude.

The General Awareness section consists of 20 questions. The marks per question for this section are 1.5. You need to study the following topics for this section:

TISSNET 2021

TISSNET is a national level postgraduate entrance exam conducted by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai for admission into its campus and affiliated institutes. The flagship program offered for admission through TISSNET is TISS Mumbai's MA in Human Resource Management and Labor Relations.

A brief overview of TISSNET 2021

  • TISSNET is conducted by Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai.
  • TISSNET 2021 exam date is 2nd January 2021. (tentative).
  • TISSNET 2021 is an online exam.
  • TISSNET 2021 paper pattern consists of three sections viz. General Awareness, Language skills and Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation.
  • The paper consists of 100 questions.
  • All the questions in the paper are MCQ type questions.
  • Each question has 4 answer choices.
  • The total duration for the test is 100 minutes.
  • Each question carries one mark each and there is no negative marking in the paper.
  • There is an individual sectional cut off in the paper for the GK section.
  • To get a shortlist for the interviews, candidates need to clear the cut off for the GK section and the overall cut off.

TISSNET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree (under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern) in any stream from a recognized university
  • Candidates in their final year are also eligible to apply, they will be required to furnish the documents of having completed all the requirements of final year by 8th June 2021
  • Candidates in their final year with backlogs will be considered ineligible for the exam

 

TISSNET 2021 Exam Pattern

The paper comprises 100 MCQ type questions. One mark is awarded for every correct answer and there is no negative marking in the paper. The maximum marks that can be scored in TISSNET 2021 is 100 marks. The TISSNET 2021 exam pattern is likely to remain the same. The TISSNET 2021 paper pattern will be announced with the official TISSNET 2021 Notification.

In addition to the TISSNET 2021, candidates looking to get into the MA (HRM & LR) or MA (ODCL) will have to give the TISSMAT 2021 Exam as well. The expected TISSMAT 2021 Pattern is:

The TISSMAT Paper pattern is quite different from the TISSNET 2021 as can be seen from the table given above. One of the most significant differences is the introduction of negative marking in these questions. Every question in the TISSMAT Exam carries a reward of 1 mark (if attempted correctly) and a penalty of 0.25 marks (if attempted incorrectly).

 

TISSNET 2021 Syllabus

The level of difficulty of TISSNET is easy to moderate. Among the three sections in the paper, the general awareness section is considered most difficult. It also carries the highest weightage of 40%. CMAT 2021 (Common Management Admission Test) is a national level MBA Entrance Test. The exam will be administered by NTA ( National Testing Agency). CMAT is conducted once every year.

  • CMAT is a computer based online test

MAT

MAT is conducted by Centre for Management Services (CMS) which is the specialized division of AIMA undertaking testing and other management services. The exam is conducted four times a year (in both Paper Pencil and Computer-Based Format) -in the months of Feb, May, Sep and Dec. Graduate or Final year degree course students in any discipline from a recognized university in India can write MAT. MAT scores are considered by a wide range of B-schools including some good B-schools. While some of the B-Schools using MAT scores for admission also accept CAT scores, the competition levels in MAT may be lower than those in CAT.
