All About MH-CET 3 Years

The law entrance exam is conducted by Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell for admission to three-year LLB course offered at the state universities and law colleges. Earlier, MHCET Law exam was conducted by Directorate of Higher Education, Maharashtra but it was taken over by CET Cell in 2019. Through the state law entrance exam, around 15100 seats of LLB course are filled at 141 approved law colleges.

 

MH CET Law 2020 Eligibility Criteria

 

The state CET Cell has published the Candidates seeking admissions to five-year integrated LLB courses and three-year LLB courses through MH CET Law need to fulfil the eligibility criteria as under:

Eligibility for MH CET Law 

Academic Criteria for all categories

·         Candidates who have graduated or are appearing in the final year examination of a bachelor degree from any UGC recognised university. 

·         They should have secured at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination. If belonging to SC/ ST category of Maharashtra state, the minimum marks required is 40% marks. For VJ/NT/SBC/ OBC category, the minimum marks required are 42% in aggregate of all semesters.

·         Candidates in the final year of their bachelor degree should submit the proof of qualifying the examination at the time of admission

Age limit 

State CET cell has mentioned any upper age or lower age limit criteria for admission to the three-year LLB course through MH CET Law 2020.

MHCET Law 2020 Syllabus for English 

Candidates should prepare the following topics to score well in the English section of MHCET Law 2020 question paper:

  • Vocabulary (Synonyms, Antonyms, Analogies etc)
  • Proficiency (Idioms and phrases, one-word substitutions, sentence improvement  and rearrangement, fill in the blanks etc)
  • English comprehension with a minimum of two passages followed by 5-10 questions that test reading and reasoning abilities.
  • English usage errors (common errors, spotting errors, inappropriate usages of words, spelling mistakes etc.)

 

MHCET Law 2020 Syllabus Legal Aptitude and Reasoning 

The questions in the legal aptitude and legal aptitude section will be around the following topics: 

  • The study of law, research aptitude and problem-solving ability
  • Legal prepositions and a set of facts to which the said propositions have to be applied
  • Some prepositions may not be true in the real sense, candidates will have to assume the truth of these prepositions and answer the question.

 

MHCET Law 2020 Syllabus for Logical Reasoning 

To score well in this section, candidates should prepare the topics as under: 

  • Patterns, logical links and rectify illogical arguments
  • Variety of logical reasoning questions such as syllogisms, logical sequences, analogies etc.
