AILET

All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is conducted by National Law University Delhi (NLU Delhi) to offer admission to eligible candidates in undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and doctorate (Ph.D.) level law courses. This is a university-level entrance exam only for admissions at NLU Delhi as the university does not accept any other law entrance exam for admissions

AILET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

 

The candidates seeking admissions at NLU Delhi through AILET can check the eligibility criteria as under: 

 

Course level

Eligibility Criteria

UG Law course

· Candidates passed in Class 12th or SSC examination or equivalent with minimum 50% marks.

· Candidates appearing for the qualifying exams are also eligible.

PG Law course

· Candidates holding LLB or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 55% marks are eligible.

· Candidates belonging to SC/ ST categories need to secure at least 50% marks in the final year of the LLB degree.

·         Candidates appearing for their final year LLB examinations are also eligible.

Ph.D. course

· Candidates holding an LLM degree from any recognized university

· They should have secured at least 55% marks in the qualifying degree examination. However, if belonging to SC/ ST categories then the qualifying marks are 50% at least. Or

· If candidates have completed their law degree along with a master’s degree such as MPhil in Social Sciences/ Humanities from any recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks. Such candidates should ensure that the research work they have conducted is relevant to any discipline of law and with a special focus on topics like Public Policy of Law. Or

· Candidates who have completed a degree in law and a Ph.D. in any discipline. Or

· Candidates who have worked as a State High Court Judge in India for at least three years or Judge at the Supreme Court of India.

The detailed notification mentioning schedule, application process, admission requirements for courses and seats has been released. 

Starting of online applications

NLU Delhi has started the application window in online mode.

Last date of applications (extended)

Candidates need to complete and submit the application form including fee payment.

Last date of withdrawal from AILET 2020

11-Jul-2020

Candidates who do not want to take AILET 2020 due to COVID-19 and, changed exam mode can fill the withdrawal form. 

Change in exam city preference 

24-Jun-2020 to 07-Jul-2020

Candidates can change their exam city for test center preferences in online mode.

Availability of admit cards

27-Jul-2020

All registered candidates will be issued admit cards to appear for the examination. 

AILET exam date (postponed)

18-Aug-2020

Candidates need to appear at the allotted test centers with their admit cards and a valid photo ID proof.

Result declaration 

Last week of August 2020
